Indications:

Treatment of horses with infections caused by bacteria sensitive to the combination of trimethoprim and sulfadiazine, in particular for:

- Respiratory tract infections caused by Streptococcus spp. and Staphylococcus aureus;

- Gastrointestinal infections caused by E. coli;

- Urogenital infections caused by beta-haemolytic streptococci;

- Wound and abscess infections caused by Streptococcus spp. and Staphylococcus aureus.

Dosage:

oral administration. 5 mg of trimethoprim and 25 mg of sulfadiazine per kg of body weight per day up to a maximum of 5 days. The dose may be administered once daily, or the daily dose may be divided and administered at 12-hour intervals.

One syringe is intended to treat 600 kg of body weight and each syringe is divided into 12 notches.

The equivalent of one notch is sufficient to treat 50 kg of body weight and the body weight minimum for treatment is 50 kg.
