Indications:

Anti-inflammatory action. Anti-allergic action. Anti-shock action (limited to dog and cat). Gluconeogenic action. Induction of parturition.

Dosage:

For intravenous or intramuscular and intra-articular use. 

Local (intra-articular) depending on the animal’s size: Horses, 1-5 ml/animal - Foals, 1-2.5 ml/animal - Dogs and cats 0.125-2.5 ml/animal.

Systemic (intramuscular): Horses and Foals, 0.06 mg/kg - Dogs and cats, 0.1 mg/kg.

In dogs and cats, if possible repeat systemic (intramuscular) administration after 24-48 hours.

 

All intra-articular injections must be preceded by withdrawing from the joint an amount of synovial fluid equal to that to be injected and must be carried out under strict aseptic conditions.

 

In dogs and cats, in case of shock, Dexadreson may be administered intravenously at a dosage at least 10 times that recommended for general (intramuscular) use.
