Indications:

IVOMEC Sheep injectable solution is indicated for the treatment of the following parasite species in sheep: Gastrointestinal nematodes Haemonchus contortus (adults, L4, L3), Ostertagia circumcincta (adults, L4, L3), O. trifurcata (adults, L4), Trichostrongylus axei (adults), T. colubriformis (adults, L4, L3), T. vitrinus (adults), Nematodirus filicollis (adults, L4), N. spathiger (L4,L3), Cooperia curticei (adults, L4), Oesophagostomum columbianum (adults, L4, L3), O. venulosum (adults), Chabertia ovina (adults, L4, L3), Trichuris ovis (adults), Strongyloides papillosus (L4, L3), Gaigeria pachyscelis (adults, L4, L3) Lung nematodes Dictyocaulus filaria (adults, L4, L3), Protostrongylus rufescens (adults) Sheep bot All larval stages of Oestrus ovis Mites Sarcoptes scabiei, Psoroptes communis var. ovis, Psorergates ovis A single injection markedly reduces the number of Psoroptes communis var. ovis and often leads to a reduction in the clinical signs of mange. Two injections 7 days apart are required to eliminate live mites.

Dosage:

The recommended dose is 0.5 ml per 25 kg body weight, equivalent to 200 mcg ivermectin per kilogram of body weight. The route of administration is subcutaneous. The solution may be administered with any standard automatic or single-dose equipment, following normal aseptic conditions. In wool sheep, ensure that the needle has penetrated the skin before injecting the dose. Do not use the product intramuscularly or intravenously.

Withdrawal periods:

Meat: 12 days.
Milk: do not use in lactating ewes if the milk is intended for human consumption. Do not use in ewes intended for the production of milk for human consumption within 60 days before the expected lambing date.
